12th Fail Actor Vikrant Massey’s brother, Varun Massey, recently made headlines with his conversion to Islam. While details surrounding his personal decision remain private, Vikrant, in a recent interview, offered insights into his brother’s introspective nature and evolving career aspirations.
His father has always been questioned that how could let this happen; on which he responded, according to Vikrant, “He is my son, he is only answerable to me and has all the rights to choose what he wants.” Vikrant continued, “After seeing this, I went on my own quest, wondering what exactly is religion. It is man-made.”
Varun, known for his work in television serials like “Yeh Hai Aashiqui” and “Mirzapur,” expressed his passion for theatre world and independent filmmaking when he was working for silver screen.
Vikrant Massey confirmed, “I earned a lot on TV. I bought my first house at the age of 24. But all that regressive content on TV was happening simultaneously and I felt like coming out of the world and trying my luck in cinema. I realized that though I became secure financially, it didn’t help me sleep well. I had this realization when I fulfilled all my financial responsibilities towards my parents and others.”
Varun’s conversion and career contemplations have sparked conversations but thank god, we got the opportunity to watch his stellar performance in Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s 12th Fail.
