Vicky Kaushal’s highly anticipated historical epic Chhaava has been rescheduled from its initial December 6, 2024 release date and will now hit the movie theatres on 14 14 February, 2025. The decision was made to avoid a clash with Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule, set to hit theaters on December 5, 2024. Pushpa 2, a sequel to the blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise, has generated immense excitement, leading to widespread single-screen bookings in its favor. It’s interesting to note that the release date has particular meaning because it falls on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti, which is February 19, 2025.
To ensure better business prospects, the makers of Chhaava have shifted the release to February 14, 2025. This move will allow both films to enjoy a solo theatrical run and maximize their box office potential. Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 features a stellar cast, including Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil, while Chhaava is based on Shivaji Sawant’s celebrated Marathi novel.
