The latest song “Jaanam” from the film “Bad Newz,” featuring Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri, has left audiences with mixed feelings. Marketed as a bold and intense number, “Jaanam” has been dubbed as the “50 Shades of Bollywood” due to its steamy and unconventional portrayal of romance.
The song, with its sultry visuals and passionate scenes, aims to push boundaries and showcase a different side of Bollywood romance. However, many viewers have expressed discomfort and criticism, labeling the song as cringe-worthy. Social media has been abuzz with reactions, with some appreciating the daring attempt, while others feel it misses the mark.
One person responded to the song by writing, “It’s actually cringe.” “I don’t understand what motivated actors like Triptii and Vicky to get into this crap!” exclaimed a second commenter. They perform well.
One commenter said, “She (Triptii) was so classy and dignified in her last film,” criticizing Triptii’s fashion choices. Why is the styling so tacky? For her, all of this skin show is ineffective. She is lovely and adorable rather than sultry and catty. “Looks like an advertisement because there is 0 chemistry,” a person commented. “More like 50 shades of Bollywood?,” someone commented. This makes me laugh so much. Another said, “Vicky and Triptii deserve better.”
Neha Dhupia and Amy Virk both played significant roles in Bad Newz. Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Amritpal Singh Bindra, and Anand Tiwari are the producers of the movie. In collaboration with Dharma Productions and Leo Media Collective, Amazon Prime is presenting it. The movie opens everywhere on July 19, 2024.
