Rahi Anil Barve, known for his acclaimed horror film Tumbbad, is set to direct a high-budget feature for producer Ekta Kapoor. This collaboration marks a significant move by Kapoor, who was reportedly impressed by Barve’s visionary work in Tumbbad. The new project, currently in its scripting stage, is expected to kick off production next year and will feature a prominent young Bollywood star.
In addition, Ekta Kapoor is also planning the third installment of the Ragini MMS franchise, slated for release in 2025. Both projects reflect her commitment to diverse, ambitious storytelling. With the premiere of her production Bhoot Bangla in 2025, Ekta has a promising filmography in the years to come. Akshay Kumar stars in the comedy, which was directed by Priyadarshan. The actor-director team that brought us comedy classics like Hera Pheri, Garam Masala, and Bhool Bhulaiya will work together on this project. The 2025 release of Vann, starring Siddharth Malhotra, is another project. Deepak Mishra, who directed the popular television series Panchayat, is directing the movie.
