Trade experts have shared their thoughts on the upcoming Ajay Devgn-Tabu starrer Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, expressing concerns over the film’s current buzz and awareness levels. According to industry insiders, the anticipation for the film is relatively low, and it lacks the strong commercial appeal typically associated with Ajay Devgn’s projects.
The trade analyst revealed, “Ajay Devgn’s track record is decent. He gave Drishyam 2 and Shaitaan in recent times. Also, Neeraj Pandey’s films have always been interesting be it A Wednesday, Special 26, Baby etc. Hence, I am sure that it’ll be something to watch out for.” He added, “The film is expected to have some interesting twists and turns. It’ll hopefully help the film get a great word of mouth and pull the audience to the cinemas.”
Producer and film industry expert Girish Johar acknowledged that there could be an opportunity similar to Sarfira, saying, “The fraternity fears that and we hope that doesn’t happen.” Fortunately, Ajay Devgn, Tabu, and Neeraj Pandey are the three aces in the creators’ hands. I’m hoping for Neeraj because he’s an amazing director. We’re hoping that starting Friday night, things start to change.
The film, directed by Neeraj Pandey, features a storyline that deviates from the usual commercial formulas. This divergence might be contributing to the subdued excitement surrounding the release. While both Ajay Devgn and Tabu have a strong fan base and a history of successful collaborations, the unique nature of this film seems to be a double-edged sword.
