Actress Tillotama Shome recently opened up about a terrifying molestation incident she experienced in Delhi. In a candid revelation, she recounted the harrowing details of the incident, which took place during her younger years.
Tillotama shared that the incident occurred in broad daylight when she was returning home. A man, whom she later identified as Tribhuvan Mishra, a CA topper, approached her and began to harass her. “It was winters in Delhi. It was evening and it was getting dark. I was standing at the bus stop waiting for the bus. Then a car came and stopped. Six guys got down from it. Then some cat call started. Somebody threw a small stone. I moved away a little bit more. Then I was like, I have to go from here. Now either I run, but they can outrun me. They’ll outnumber me.” Tilottama went on to say that she made the decision to ask for a lift while standing in the middle of the road. Several cars drove by, but none of them stopped until she noticed one with a medical symbol on it. She got into the front seat because she felt comfortable there.
“We just moved a little bit. He took my hand, and he unzipped his pants, and I guess he wanted me to do whatever. The moment he forced my hand, it was like an instinct hit, like hitting out. I don’t know what I did, but he had to stop his car because something happened. He swerved, whatever. And he asked me to get out.” The shocking incident left her traumatized and in disbelief at the audacity of the attacker.
