In a recent revelation, Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister shed light on the late actor’s struggles to find acceptance in Bollywood. She made a significant claim, highlighting the challenges her brother faced, especially after the release of the biopic MS Dhoni: The Untold Story.
According to Sushant’s sister, despite delivering a stellar performance in the role of Indian cricket legend MS Dhoni, he did not receive the recognition and acceptance he deserved from the film industry. Despite the success of MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, Sushant allegedly faced rejection and was not given the opportunities he deserved in Bollywood.
Shweta spoke to Ranveer Allahbadia and revealed, “When MS Dhoni was released, an actor’s son’s film was also released. Everyone was praising that person, writing about him but nobody was writing about him. This used to affect him. If you are childlike inside. If you have done something nice. You would want people to praise you so that you feel uplifted. He never got that sort of acceptance in Bollywood.” She continued, “I was in India, we were sitting together, and he said that this is happening. That movie wasn’t even doing that well. He told me about it.”
In June 2020, Sushant Singh Rajput’s body was discovered in his Mumbai flat. Some believed it to be a suicide, while others claimed there was foul play.
