Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor are all set to share the screen for the first time in a new romantic-comedy titled Param Sundari. Produced by Dinesh Vijan, the film promises to be a light-hearted entertainer with a fresh storyline and lots of laughter. The three of them first intended to make a thrilling thriller for the big screen. But after giving it some thought, Vijan and Malhotra noticed a change in the tastes of the audience.
Directed by Rohan Shankar, Param Sundari will reportedly feature a blend of romance and comedy, making it a perfect entertainer for fans of the genre. The film is set to begin shooting later this year, with various locations across India lined up as the backdrop for the story. According to a Peeping Moon research, thrillers appeared to be more suited for streaming services. After realizing this, they decided to take a break from the project, which they termed Spider, and look into other options. This change in tactics brought director Tushar Jalota, who oversaw the highly regarded Dasvi, into a cooperative brainstorming session.
The movie, tentatively named Param Sundari—a reference to a well-known song by Maddock Films’ Mimi—looks to be a fun, family-friendly romantic comedy. Consider the popular Maddock Films production Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, which came out earlier this year. Pre-production is presently underway on Param Sundari, with shooting expected to start in November or December.
