Recent reports suggesting Shahid Kapoor teaming up with Sujoy Ghosh for an upcoming thriller have been denied by the actor’s team. Speculation arose following claims that Ghosh was stepping down from his collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand for King to focus on this thriller with Shahid. However, Kapoor’s team clarified that there is no such project in the pipeline involving the two. A source revealed, “Shahid was interested in the script earlier, but the timing wasn’t right. Now, both Sujoy and he are making it a priority to align their schedules and bring it to life.”
Given Sujoy’s experience in the genre—from his acclaimed 2012 film Kahaani, starring Vidya Balan, to his most recent Netflix India movie Jaane Jaan, featuring Kareena Kapoor in her digital debut—the genre is reportedly a thriller, even if the narrative details are yet unknown.
