Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is set to receive the prestigious Honorary Leopard Achievement Award at the Locarno Film Festival 2024, 77th edition of the festival. This honor recognizes his remarkable contributions to the film industry over the years. The festival’s center, Piazza Grande, will host the award presentation on Saturday, August 10 in the evening.
Giona A. Nazzaro, the Artistic Director of the Locarno Film Festival said, “To welcome a living legend like Shah Rukh Khan in Locarno is a dream come true! As part of the celebration, Khan’s iconic film “Devdas” will be screened at the festival. This classic, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and co-starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit, is renowned for its stunning visuals and compelling performances. Shah Rukh Khan will also participate in a special panel discussion at the festival. This event will give fans and attendees a unique opportunity to hear insights from the actor about his illustrious career, experiences, and future projects.
