Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan recently received a death threat, prompting the Mumbai Police to launch an immediate investigation. The threat, made via a phone call, warned Khan of serious harm. Sources said that an anonymous person from Raipur, Chhattisgarh, later identified as Faizan, called the Bandra Police Station threateningly and demanded Rs 50 lakh.
Sections 506(4) and 511 (attempt to commit offense punishable under section 506(4)) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) have been used to lodge a case at the Bandra Police Station. A team from Mumbai Police has been sent to Raipur to look into the situation. As of yet, no one has been arrested.
Concerned for the actor’s safety, his team contacted the police, leading them to heighten security around his residence, Mannat, and other locations he frequents. This incident follows Khan’s recent box office successes with Jawan and Pathaan, which has kept the actor in the spotlight. The Mumbai Police are currently tracing the call’s origin and conducting a detailed probe to ensure Khan’s security. This is not the first instance of a Bollywood celebrity facing such threats, as public figures often encounter similar situations. Fans and well-wishers are closely following the situation and have expressed concerns for the actor’s safety across social media platforms.
