Bollywood is abuzz with excitement as Shah Rukh Khan and Abhishek Bachchan are set to face off in the highly anticipated film “King,” directed by Sujoy Ghosh. The film is being produced by Siddharth Anand’s Marflix Productions, known for their work on high-octane action films.
“King” promises to be a thrilling showdown between two of Bollywood’s biggest stars. Shah Rukh Khan will reportedly play the role of a formidable mafia boss. Rumors are that Suhana Khan will act with her father in King. In contrast, Abhishek Bachchan will portray a dedicated law enforcement officer. Their on-screen clash is expected to be intense, with Ghosh’s direction adding a layer of intrigue and suspense.
The film is currently in the pre-production stage, with filming expected to start in early 2025. Even though this is the first time SRK and Abhishek will be on different sides of the screen, they have worked together on movies like Happy New Year and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna in the past. Along with producing Bob Biswas, this is Abhishek’s second collaboration with Sujoy Ghosh and his first with Siddharth Anand.
King is now in pre-production, with filming scheduled to start in October or November of 2024. A late 2025 or early 2026 release is the goal set by the creators. Produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment in collaboration with Siddharth Anand’s Marflix banner.
