In a candid revelation, Sheikh shared that her refusal to wear revealing clothes resulted in losing multiple roles in films. Despite her talent and capabilities, Sheikh faced setbacks in her career due to her principled stance on not compromising her values regarding wardrobe choices. This revelation sheds light on the challenges actors often encounters in the entertainment industry, where certain expectations and standards may clash with personal beliefs.
Sheikh acknowledged that she had experienced insecurity at some point and said, “I did feel insecure about being pretty when I did not get the role. There were times when they would say that you are ‘too pretty’, so you won’t be getting this part.”
Her facial scar from “Heeramandi” gave her performance additional personality. According to Sanjeeda, Waheeda’s character—who she was, who she has become, and who she does not want to become—was constantly brought to mind by it. Sheikh has won praise from many people for her role in the series.
