Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is facing a fresh death threat, with an anonymous caller recently demanding a ₹2 crore ransom. The call was received by Mumbai Police’s emergency helpline, sparking immediate action. The police quickly traced the call and launched a thorough investigation to determine the origin and identity of the caller.
After that, Worli police started looking into the source of the threat and filed a case against an unnamed person. This incident comes after a 20-year-old Noida resident was recently arrested in relation to a different threat call that was directed at Salman and MLA Zeeshan Siddique, the son of late NCP leader Baba Siddique.
The suspect, identified as Mohammed Tayyab, also called Gurfan Khan, was taken into custody on Tuesday in the Sector 39 neighborhood of Noida. The suspect called Zeeshan Siddique’s public relations office in Bandra East last Friday, demanding a ransom and threatening to harm both Siddique and Salman Khan, according to India Today.
Authorities opened a case at Mumbai’s Nirmal Nagar police station after a Siddique office employee complained about the threatening call. Tayyab, a resident of Delhi, was arrested and placed on transit remand to be taken to Mumbai for additional interrogation, according to police sources.
