Randhir Kapoor Admits Regret Over Lack of Support for Daughters Kareena and Karisma’s Careers

Veteran actor Randhir Kapoor recently opened up about his regrets as a father, admitting that he considers himself a “very bad father” for not supporting his daughters, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Karisma Kapoor, in their acting careers. In a candid revelation, Randhir expressed his initial reluctance to encourage his daughters to enter the film industry.

A few years ago, Randhir Kapoor had told Radio Channel 92.5, “I am very proud of my two daughters. They had made it on their own streak. Yes, the driving force was Babita, I give full credit to their mother but they have worked very hard.”

Now he recently admitted, “When they were very small I never imagined that they would turn out to be such big artistes. I had told them exactly what my father (Raj Kapoor) told me, that you want to do it, do it for sure, if it was a bad profession then we ourselves wouldn’t be in it. If we are doing this work, how can we tell you not to do it? But if you are doing it be the best at it. I am very proud to say that my two daughters have worked very hard to achieve the great success that they have without any support from me.”

He acknowledged that without Babita’s unwavering support and encouragement, his daughters might not have achieved the immense success they enjoy today.

Despite his earlier reservations, Randhir Kapoor now proudly acknowledges the achievements of Kareena and Karisma, both of whom have become iconic figures in Bollywood.
