Rajkummar Rao has responded to rumors claiming that he has increased his fee by ₹5 crore per film following the blockbuster success of Stree 2. The actor, known for his versatility, clarified that he is “not stupid” to burden himself with such an inflated salary. Speaking candidly, Rajkummar emphasized that he prefers to focus on his work and take on roles that excite him, rather than making money a priority. He also pointed out that his success is the result of consistent effort and good choices, rather than financial calculations.
Rajkummar was the highest-paid member of the Stree 2 cast, according to numerous internet claims. According to reports, he demanded 6 crores, 20% more than Shraddha Kapoor’s 5 crores. According to Gossip Mill, he has increased his pay to 5 crores every film since the smash hit. Rajkumar also revealed to Indian Express, “I read different figures every day. I’m not stupid to burden my producers. Being a part of the biggest blockbuster is not going to change me as an actor, money is just a byproduct of my passion. I want to work all my life, so I keep looking for roles that surprise me, excite me, challenge and help me grow.”
Rao further mentioned that he doesn’t believe in comparing himself with other actors or chasing bigger paychecks, as his primary aim is to keep evolving as an artist. The actor’s comments come as a refreshing take on the pressure of rising pay in the industry, suggesting that his professional growth remains grounded in passion rather than commercial gains.
