Actress Parineeti Chopra recently opened up about her Bollywood journey, acknowledging that she had taken wrong advice along the way. In a candid admission, Chopra expressed feelings of guilt over her early career decisions, admitting that she lacked knowledge about the industry and ended up doing films that were not suitable for her.
During an interview, Parineeti Chopra reflected on her initial days in Bollywood, revealing that she was unaware of how the industry operated and often relied on advice that led her astray. The actress confessed to choosing projects that ultimately proved to be less than ideal for her career. She admitted saying, “I think I heard a lot of wrong advice and I think I did a lot of films which were perceived to be the correct thing to do, to be commercial, to be bankable, to be a sellable actor but were not necessarily the right fit for me. In fact, I am guilty of listening to that noise and succumbing to that. I didn’t actually hold my own. If I had stuck to my own and if I had listened to my gut instinct, I would have probably made lesser mistakes.” She continued, “I used to think that I don’t know anything about this industry, I need to listen to these people and I went ahead and did it. But that’s not the right way. All those ups and downs have happened because I was trying and testing.”
Parineeti Chopra, who portrayed Amarjot Kaur in Imtiaz Ali’s Netflix Amar Singh Chamkila, is receiving a lot of praise for her performance recently.
