Mithun Chakraborty Says He Never Pulled Strings for His Kids’ Bollywood Careers

After winning the coveted Dadasaheb Phalke Award at the 70th National Film Awards on October 8, 2024, Mithun Chakraborty disclosed that he never requested for career offers for any of his four children or begged for favors from those in the profession.

Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty recently opened up to NDTV about his approach to his children’s careers in Bollywood. He shared that he has never asked anyone in the industry to offer work to his kids, insisting they carve out their own paths. The Disco Dancer star explained that he believes in letting his children, including Namashi and Mimoh Chakraborty, face their struggles and succeed based on their own talent and hard work.

Mithun stated that he understands the film industry is tough and wanted his kids to learn the value of persistence. He emphasized that he doesn’t believe in using his own influence to make things easier for them. According to the actor, allowing his children to navigate their way without shortcuts has made them stronger and more dedicated to their careers.
