Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane is overjoyed with the overwhelming response to the re-release of her 2016 Bollywood debut film, Sanam Teri Kasam. The romantic drama, co-starring Harshvardhan Rane, has found a new wave of love from audiences, and Mawra believes her husband, UAE-based lawyer Farhad Hussain, is the reason behind this renewed success.
In an interview, Mawra shared, “My husband is bringing in the luck. Ever since he came into my life, everything has been magical.” She expressed gratitude for the film’s resurgence, saying, “To be honest, if the film has waited nine years to achieve these numbers, I think it’s my husband bringing in the luck for sure. Because the only thing that has changed since then is this (Mawra getting married). The film was always there, and everything was there. But I truly feel it’s the marriage luck because it’s literally the same dates.” It is like a testament to the timeless appeal of heartfelt storytelling.
Originally released in 2016, Sanam Teri Kasam initially struggled at the box office but later gained a cult following on OTT platforms. The re-release has reignited interest in the film, with fans praising Mawra’s performance and the emotional depth of the story.
Mawra, who tied the knot with Farhad in 2023, also thanked her fans for their unwavering support.
