Manisha Koirala Reunites with Indian Co-star Kamal Haasan: “His Cinematic Understanding is Unparalleled”

Manisha Koirala recently expressed her excitement about reuniting with Kamal Haasan, her co-star from the iconic film “Indian”. Speaking about this collaboration, Manisha lauded Kamal Haasan’s unparalleled cinematic understanding, calling it a privilege to work with him again. Their professional relationship began with Shankar’s seminal 1996 film Indian. Now that the follow-up Indian 2 is scheduled for release on July 12, 2024, rumors about Koirala’s possible involvement have increased due to their reunion.

In an interview, Manisha reminisced about her experience working with Kamal Haasan in the 1996 blockbuster Indian. She praised his dedication, versatility, and deep understanding of cinema. She expressed her gratitude towards Kamal Hassan and said, “One of the brilliant minds that I had an opportunity to work with..books and films n now fashion is his world !! He recommended amazing books which stretches one’s mind & soul..his unique & deep observations on life amazed me decades ago..his cinematic understanding is unparalleled.. As for Manisha Koirala, she recently ventured into the digital realm in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s web series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, where she played the role of Mallikajaan, the principal courtesan. However, Haasan’s performance of Supreme Yaskin in Nag Ashwin’s dystopian film Kalki 2898 AD captured the attention of viewers.
