A man aged 32 from Haveri, in Karnataka has been detained for allegedly threatening Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and demanding Rs 5 crore in ransom. The accused, reportedly connected to a notorious gangster, made the threat via a WhatsApp message, demanding the money and warning Khan of serious consequences if it wasn’t paid. The message reached Khan’s team, who promptly alerted the authorities, leading to a swift investigation by Mumbai and Karnataka police.
Following the incident, security around Salman Khan has been tightened to ensure his safety. This is not the first time the actor has received threats, as earlier warnings linked to gangster activity had led Khan to enhance his security.
