Kangana Ranaut’s Next Movie ‘Emergency’ Trailer Will Out On August 14

Kangana Ranaut’s much-anticipated film Emergency is set to release its trailer on August 14, generating excitement among fans and industry insiders alike. Directed by Kangana Ranaut herself, the film delves into the turbulent period of the 1975 Emergency in India, focusing on the political and personal challenges faced by the then Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi.

Kangana not only directs the film but also plays the role of Indira Gandhi, showcasing her versatility and dedication to the project. The film promises to present a gripping narrative about one of the most controversial periods in Indian history. It also stars an ensemble cast, including Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhry, and Shreyas Talpade, who play pivotal roles in bringing this historical drama to life.

Having said that, it’s important to note that Bollywood Hungama revealed a few days ago that the 2:57-long teaser received a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) for approval. The trailer will be affixed to the prints of Vedaa, the forthcoming movie produced by Zee Studios—the same company that produced Emergency—and starring John Abraham and Sharvari.

We were given an explanation for this action by a source who said, “Emergency is produced by Zee Studios, and they have also backed Vedaa. A large number of audiences will be watching Vedaa, and the Zee team felt that this would be a great time to present the trailer of the ambitious venture to them and thus enhance the buzz for it.”

The release of the trailer on August 14 is strategically timed to coincide with the country’s Independence Day celebrations, aiming to evoke a sense of patriotism and historical reflection.
