Kangana Ranaut Criticizes Contemporary Directors: “They Don’t Deserve to Work With Me”

Kangana recently expressed her dissatisfaction with Bollywood’s current crop of directors. Speaking to Republic World, Kangana claimed that modern filmmakers lack originality and creativity, stating, “I’m very proudly saying that today there is not a single director in the film industry that I want to work with because they don’t have that kind of quality… that I feel that they deserve me.”

The National Award-winning actress – Kangana Ranaut opened up about the challenges she faced while making Emergency, revealing that several attempts were made to halt its release. “I was completely devastated. I thought maybe it will never see the light of the day,” she admitted. Reflecting on past obstacles, she added, “Because there was earlier a film on Mrs Gandhi called Kissa Kursi Ka. I thought maybe it’s jinxed or something that you can’t make a film on her.” Kangana also shared how personal investments and numerous hurdles left her feeling disheartened during the process.
