Veteran actress and politician Jaya Bachchan recently addressed the issue of online trolling, stating that those who criticize her online would not dare to confront her in person due to lack of courage. Bachchan made these remarks during an interview in What The Hell Navya podcast show of Navya Naveli Nanda, where she discussed her approach to dealing with negativity on social media platforms.
Jaya Bachchan said, “If you want to comment, then comment positively. But no, you just give your verdict,” Navya then brings up the point that these persons wouldn’t dare say such hateful things if they were seated in front of Jaya. To which, Jaya replied, “They won’t have the courage.” And she ended the conversation with a challenging remark, “If you are actually brave, then comment on actual issues and show your face.”
She emphasized that trolls hide behind anonymity online and would not have the courage to express their opinions face-to-face.
The actress, known for her outspoken nature, expressed her disdain for online trolling and urged people to engage in constructive dialogue instead of resorting to negativity. Bachchan also highlighted the importance of freedom of expression while condemning the misuse of social media to spread hatred.
