Former cricketer Harbhajan Singh has expressed his desire to see Bollywood star Ranveer Singh portray him in a potential biopic. In a recent interview, Harbhajan shared that he finds Ranveer’s energy and acting versatility a perfect match for his journey on and off the cricket field.
Harbhajan, known for his fiery on-field persona and significant contributions to Indian cricket, said that Ranveer’s performances in movies like 83 showcase his ability to step into the shoes of iconic sports personalities. Interestingly, 83 was a cricket drama where Ranveer played Kapil Dev, the captain of India’s 1983 World Cup-winning team.
The cricket player recently stated in a conversation that there is a buzz about a biopic about his life. He shared details about his favorite actor for the starring role and alluded to an impending official announcement regarding the project. His life, which is full of highs and lows, will serve as an inspiration to future generations and makes for an engaging film story. His selection of an actor who can portray the role well is the cherry on top. “Ek do acche kahaniya hai jo main chahta hu duniya ke samne aaye toh, main woh jaldi announce karunga” (There are one or two amazing stories from my life that I want to share with the world, and I will declare them) is how he showed his delight without spilling the beans.
