Emraan Hashmi, the star of the Showtime web series, recently voiced his opinions on the ongoing discussions surrounding Kangana Ranaut and the case of Sushant Singh Rajput. Speaking out on the matter, Hashmi expressed his belief that labeling everyone in the industry as ‘druggies’ is unfair.
In light of recent events, where allegations and speculations have been rampant, Emraan Hashmi emphasized the importance of avoiding blanket statements that tarnish the reputation of an entire industry. He suggested that such generalizations could lead to unfair judgments and damage to the livelihoods of many individuals working in the film fraternity.
Hashmi’s remarks are in line with those of other members of the Indian Film industry, such as actor Rajeev Khandelwal, who similarly emphasized the intricacies of the Sushant Singh Rajput case and hinted that the story may have been shaped by political considerations.
Mihir Desai and Archit Kumar are the directors of web series Showtime, while Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Somen Mishra, and Mihir Desai are the executive producers of the show. On March 8, 2024, Showtime will debut on Disney Plus Hotstar.
