Diljit Dosanjh’s highly anticipated film Panjab 95 is all set to hit theatres on February 7, 2025. The film will release without any cuts, despite facing initial recommendations from the CBFC for 120 cuts due to its sensitive subject matter. Directed by Honey Trehan and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, the film is based on the life of Sikh rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra.
In the past, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has suggested 120 edits for Punjab 95 because of the delicate subject matter of the movie. However, according to Diljit’s previously mentioned Instagram post, the movie will be released without any cuts. In 2022, the film was also shown to Jaswant Singh Khalra’s family, who expressed great satisfaction with the finished product, according to sources.
It is anticipated that the movie will show Jaswant Singh Khalra’s life before to his untimely abduction, torture, and murder at the hands of the police.
