Producer Boney Kapoor recently shared insights into a rift with his brother, actor Anil Kapoor, regarding casting decisions for the sequel of the Indian comedy movie, “No Entry.” Kapoor disclosed that Anil expressed displeasure over not being cast in the sequel, but they had their own genuine reasons in the bucket – there was a lack of available roles at that time.
The first and the original movie – No Entry starred Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan, Esha Deol, Bipasha Basu, Lara Dutta, Fardeen Khan, and Celina Jaitly in main roles.
Boney Kapoor when interviewed by Zoom Entertainment, he revealed, “Before I could tell my brother Anil about the No Entry sequel and the cast involved, he got angry as the news was already leaked. It was unfortunate that it was leaked. I know he wanted to be a part of the No Entry sequel, but there was no space. I wanted to explain why I did what I did.”
Boney Kapoor further explained his casting choices, “Varun and Arjun are great friends. Their chemistry could come out in the story, and Diljit is massive today. He has a great fan following. I wanted to make it relevant in today’s time. That’s why I did this casting. In the process, my brother is still not talking properly. I hope it all gets sorted out soon. Let’s see.”
As discussions surrounding the “No Entry” sequel continue, Kapoor’s candid admission about the tiff between Kapoor brothers also offers a glimpse into intricacies of collaboration within the film industry.
