Telugu star Nani has shared intriguing details about his upcoming film Surya’s Saturday, highlighting its unique concept. In a recent interview, Nani discussed the film’s plot, which revolves around the character Surya, a man who is unable to express anger or react emotionally until Saturday. This unusual storyline is what Nani finds most exciting about the project.
Nani explained that Surya’s inability to show anger during the week leads to a buildup of emotions, making Saturdays highly unpredictable and intense. She said, “This film is different from other action movies because this just doesn’t run on action blocks or just the story. Surya is a guy who cannot react or show his anger till Saturday, and he has to face an evil guy and for a purpose, for a reason, he has to fight him but all he has is one day and the other guy has all the week. So, I think because of this concept, it makes this action film very, very interesting. So, this is not just very different from what I have done, but I think from the films I have seen it is very different.” The actor believes that this concept will resonate with audiences, as it explores the complexities of human emotions and the pressures of modern life.
The film, which has a unique plot, centers on Surya, who has battled with controlling his wrath since he was a little child. His mother encourages him to save all of his fury for one day a week. The film, which is slated for premiere in theaters on August 29, 2024, is directed by Vivek Athreya and produced by DVV Movies. It also stars Priyanka Mohan and S.J. Suryah in significant parts.
