Ayushmann Khurrana is set to dive into the horror-comedy genre once again with Thama, joining Maddock Films’ expanding horror-comedy universe. After his success in Stree and Bala, Khurrana teams up with Dinesh Vijan’s production house, known for popular horror-comedies like Stree and Roohi.
Directed by Amar Kaushik, Thama promises a blend of humor, chills, and Khurrana’s signature charm, aiming to be another hit in Maddock’s supernatural storytelling lineup. Along with revealing Thama’s motion poster, the film’s creators also provided additional information. On Diwali 2025, the film starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna will be released. There are rumors that Ayushmann is portraying a vampire in the movie; this character was mentioned at the conclusion of Stree 2.
“A compelling love story set against a bloody backdrop” is how Maddock characterized Thama. In addition to Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna, Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui also featured in the movie. Thama, which was scripted by Niren Bhatt, Suresh Mathew, and Arun Fulara, will be directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, who assisted Munjya.
