After Oscars Entry, Laapataa Ladies Releases in Japan Now

Following its selection as India’s official entry for the Oscars 2025, Kiran Rao’s directorial venture Laapataa Ladies has now made its way to Japanese cinemas. On 4th October, the film hit the theatres of Japan to entertain a different set of audience. The film, which has already garnered critical acclaim in India, is expected to strike a chord with international audiences as well.

Laapataa Ladies, produced by Aamir Khan Productions and Kiran Rao, tells the story of two young women who get lost in a rural village, sparking a series of humorous and dramatic events.
