Actress Aditi Rao Hydari recently shared her thoughts on the viral sensation of her ‘Gajagamini’ walk in Netflix series “Heeramandi.” The graceful walk, which captivated audiences and quickly spread across social media, showcases Hydari’s elegance and poise in the role as Bibbojaan.
Reacting to the overwhelming response, Hydari expressed her gratitude and excitement. She mentioned that the positive feedback has been incredibly heartwarming and motivating. Aditi emphasized the meticulous effort and dedication that went into perfecting the walk, a tribute to the classical beauty and charm portrayed in Heeramandi web series on Netflix.
She plainly said, “I want to ask somebody, Sanjay sir, my dance teacher, what is it? Is it the Gajagamini walk, the swan walk? What walk is that I don’t know! I’ll say it was what Sanjay sir asked me to do. He is very good at spotting magic on the spot, and he created a lot of nuances in the process. When I had put on the Ghagra, Sanjay Sir told me that I had put on weight. I asked him to give me 10 days since it was post COVID. He said, ‘No you look beautiful. Let’s shoot.’ I really value that. That’s why I say he is an incredible teacher.”
Heeramandi, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, is a highly anticipated series that delves into the lives of courtesans and the cultural backdrop of pre-independent India.
