Abhijeet Bhattacharya Finally Broke His Years of Silence on Rift with Shah Rukh Khan

Renowned playback singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya recently opened up about his long-standing rift with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. In a candid interview with Pinkvilla, Abhijeet shared his feelings about the fallout, which has been a topic of speculation for years.

Being six- or seven-years Khan’s senior, Bhattacharya claimed he could counsel Khan to see past the show and acknowledge his long-term fame. Though he knew Khan’s genuine nature, he voiced misgivings about their connection, believing Khan would come out as busy or snobbish. Even now, their remote relationship is aware of Bhattacharya’s hurt feelings.

Abhijeet revealed that the discord began when his songs were not credited properly in Shah Rukh’s films. “He knows that I have been hurt,” Abhijeet stated, emphasizing that the lack of acknowledgment for his contributions was the root cause of his disappointment. The singer, known for lending his voice to many iconic songs in Shah Rukh’s movies, felt sidelined despite his significant role in their success.

Despite this years’ long rift, Abhijeet expressed no ill will towards Shah Rukh. He acknowledged the superstar’s impact on the industry and reiterated that his grievances were solely about professional respect and recognition.
