Actor Aamir Khan recently took full responsibility for the underwhelming performance of his film “Laal Singh Chaddha,” acknowledging that there might have been shortcomings in the project for its lackluster reception.
Aamir Khan’s candid admission came in The great Indian Kapil Show, as he reflected on the film’s performance during an interaction. He expressed his belief that any deficiencies in the movie’s execution might have led to its less-than-expected success at the box office. He shared, “I was heartbroken because we put in a lot of effort into making the film and each of us put our heart and soul into it. Par koi kami reh gayi tabhi shayad audience ko pasand nahin aayi.”
Further, he said, “I took my performance to a high pitch and couldn’t hold it together throughout the film. It was my shortcoming as a performer, and I won’t repeat it in the next film. Throughout my career, I have learnt more from mistakes than success.”
Laal Singh Chaddha was a highly anticipated Bollywood movie, but it did not meet the anticipated level of success upon its release. However, Aamir Khan’s willingness to shoulder the responsibility demonstrates his commitment to delivering quality work to his audience, even in the face of setbacks.
