Singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya recently shared insights about his fallout with Shah Rukh Khan. Known for lending his voice to iconic songs in Shah Rukh’s movies, Abhijeet revealed that their differences began during the actor’s rise in Bollywood.
In a candid interview, the singer explained that he didn’t see himself singing for Shah Rukh but rather for the characters in the films. “I wasn’t singing for him, I was singing for my work” Abhijeet said, emphasizing his artistic integrity. He further hinted at feeling underappreciated for his contributions, saying that while his songs became hits, his value wasn’t acknowledged in the same way.
Jay Bhattacharya, Abhijeet’s son, also made a comment a few weeks back claiming that SRK was receiving credit for Dua Lipa’s performance on Wo Ladki Jo. On Instagram, he posted, “It is @abhijeetbhattacharya and composed by @anumalikmusic. I’m sorry, but this song is called Woh Ladki jo Sabse Alag Hai – Abhijeet. Wherever you search for it, somehow, the media in this country never lets a singer get his due, and then people ask me why don’t you try to sing for Bollywood?”
The tiff and diss is still on. Stay tuned for more updates.
