Varun Dhawan recently defended Allu Arjun amidst the backlash over a stampede during the Pushpa 2 event. Allu Arjun, star of Pushpa 2: The Rule, after the devastating stampede at the movie’s December 4 Hyderabad launch, many are bamboozled after seeing such a craze for a movie. A 35-year-old mother lost her life in the tragedy, while her son suffered serious injuries. Varun addressed the matter during a recent promotional event, saying that it is unjust to assign all the blame to one person. Since then, a video of his remarks has gone popular on social media. This comes as Allu Arjun could be arrested in relation to the stampede. Varun, however, stated that it is unfair to blame a single individual for such occurrences. He emphasized that crowd management is a collective responsibility and applauded Allu Arjun’s immense popularity, which attracts large crowds. Varun said, “Here are safety protocols. An actor cannot take everything upon himself.” He then discussed the promotional event in Jaipur, praising Cinepolis and its well management of the event, and that he is really grateful for it. He then further added that the tragic incident at Pushpa 2 premiere was very sorrowful, and that he is extremely sorry for the loss of the victims. However, he feels that it’s wrong to blame an actor for such happening. “I’m very sorry. Sending my condolences. But at the same time, I think aap blame sirf ek insaan pe nahi daal sakte (But at the same time I think that you cannot put the blame on just one person).
