Ranbir Kapoor’s thoughts on violence in his film Animal and his plans for a biopic on his grandfather Raj Kapoor. Ranbir Kapoor defends the violence in his upcoming film Animal, saying it is important for him to explore different genres and characters as an actor. He also acknowledges the importance of responsible storytelling in cinema.
Ranbir expressed his emotions by saying, “I completely agree with your opinion. As actors, this is our responsibility to bring movies that make a positive impact on society,” When asked about the duty of actors, Ranbir acknowledged the impact that movies may have on viewers. He was speaking at the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI), which is now taking place in Goa. “As actors, it’s important for me to dabble in different genres and characters, and play varied roles.”
The actor did admit, though, that it would be difficult to make a biopic on his grandfather’s life, since it would need to be honest and genuine in order to capture the highs and lows of his journey. Ranbir then candidly shared, “You see, a biopic is not something where you just highlight the success factor or the highs in a person’s life. You truly have to portray someone’s life honestly, showing the lows, showing the struggles, showing the relationship dynamics.”
