John Abraham has opened up about the disappointing box office performance of his recent film Vedaa. The action-packed thriller, which had high expectations, failed to connect with audiences as anticipated, leading to underwhelming earnings. Reflecting on the situation, John admitted that there is some regret over the film’s performance, acknowledging the hard work that went into making it.
John Abraham stated in a Radio City interview that he still believes the movie didn’t perform well. But he claimed that making the picture was bold since, following Batla House, he had wanted to collaborate with Nikkhil once more. He went on to say that the message they are conveying through the movie is more significant than success or failure. Additionally, he stated that the subject matter is serious and that he respects people’s decision not to watch movies with serious content. Despite the setback, John remains positive, emphasizing that in the film industry, not every project will be a hit. He expressed gratitude towards the team and the experience of working on Vedaa, but also shared his understanding that not all films resonate with audiences. “It’s part of the journey,” he said, adding that he prefers to learn from such experiences and move forward rather than dwell on them.
