Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan, who garnered widespread acclaim for his role in the 2003 film Koi Mil Gaya, once shared his unique experience of immersing himself in an “imaginary world” after the movie’s release. In a candid interview, Roshan explained how the success and fantasy elements of the film impacted his personal and professional life. He said, “It was tailor-made for me perhaps. So I took to it like fish takes to water and I knew that this is my space.”
Playing the character of Rohit Mehra, a mentally challenged young man who befriends an alien named Jadoo, was a transformative experience for Hrithik.
Following the film’s success, Hrithik admitted to feeling a strong pull towards the fantasy world of Koi Mil Gaya. The magic also unleashed when he played the ‘dude’ like character in Dhoom 2; he had felt the vibe of his character. He described it as being “sucked into an imaginary world,” where the lines between reality and fiction began to blur.
Hrithik Roshan’s most recent film, Fighter, did well at the box office. The movie debuted to overwhelmingly positive reviews from both reviewers and viewers, and in its first week of release, it made $25 million, topping the worldwide box office. Deepika Padukone starred in the Siddharth Anand-helmed movie.
