In a significant development, 9 individuals have been charged in connection with the firing incident involving Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in Bandra in April. The Mumbai Police have filed an extensive 1,735-page chargesheet, detailing the alleged involvement of the accused in the case. This chargesheet comes after months of investigation into the incident that shocked the film industry and Salman Khan’s fans.
The chargesheet was submitted in the special MCOC (Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime) court and includes the name of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
Recent sources state that the chargesheet, which was submitted to a special MCOC court, is comprised of three volumes containing a variety of investigation papers. According to these sources, the evidence consists of 46 witness statements as well as statements made in front of the magistrate under section 164 of the CrPC. These chargesheet documents also include 22 panchanamas, confessions made in accordance with the MCOC Act, and technical proof. The court will review the chargesheet, and based on its findings, the following stages in the legal procedure will be decided.
