Prabhas’ latest film, “Kalki 2898 AD,” has taken the box office by storm, becoming the third biggest opener of all time, surpassing Hrithik Roshan. On its first day, the movie earned a staggering Rs 191.5 crore, surpassing the previous record held by “KGF: Chapter 2.” This remarkable opening day collection has set a new benchmark for the industry.
Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD has captivated audiences with its futuristic storyline and stellar performances. The film’s impressive start is a testament to Prabhas’ star power and the high anticipation surrounding the project. KGF: Chapter 2 had previously held the record with an impressive opening day collection, but Kalki 2898 AD has now taken its place, reflecting the growing popularity of Prabhas and the film’s widespread appeal.
The movie was released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam; in India, the Telugu version brought in the most money. Telugu accounted for Rs 64.5 crore of the Rs 95 crore net revenue. Next in line were Rs 4 crore in Tamil and Rs 24 crore in Hindi. 30 lakh in Kannada and Rs 2.2 crore in Malayalam.
