Director John Matthew Matthan has hinted at the possibility of a sequel to Aamir Khan’s acclaimed film Sarfarosh. Matthan revealed that Khan is ‘keen’ on the idea, sparking speculation about the development of Sarfarosh 2. Matthan, who helmed the original Sarfarosh, disclosed that discussions about a sequel have been ongoing. He expressed his enthusiasm for the project and hinted at Khan’s interest in reprising his role from the 1999 film.
The director revealed that he had seen Aamir Khan last week as a result of their shared 25 years of Sarfarosh. He also mentioned that they planned to host a small get-together and hold a special screening for the cast and crew. John remarked, “Aamir is keen. I am also planning to make it, but unless you get the freedom and choice to do it and if it is not pleasurable for you then, how are others going to enjoy your film? Also there are not many scripts that I have liked.”
“We have to find the right story. Aamir is very keen on Sarfarosh 2. But unless I have the right story that suits him, I can’t. It is not that easy.” he continued.
The news of Aamir Khan’s potential involvement in Sarfarosh 2 has generated excitement among fans, who fondly remember the actor’s portrayal of a dedicated police officer in the original movie. Khan’s commitment to the project could signal a promising development for the sequel.
