Pen Studios has revealed plans to release the popular Gujarati film “Kasoombo” in Hindi, marking a significant move for regional cinema. The studio recently unveiled the trailer for the film, generating excitement among audiences. The announcement of Kasoombo making its way to the Hindi-speaking audience is met with anticipation and curiosity. Pen Studios aims to introduce the acclaimed Gujarati film to a wider audience base, showcasing the rich storytelling and cultural nuances.
Kasoombo, a historical epic directed by the imaginative Mr. Vijaygiri Bava, takes audiences back to the latter part of the 13th century, a period distinguished by Allauddin Khilji’s unwavering desire. Khilji’s tyranny in Bharatvarsh, motivated by his ambition for conquest, ignited a story of bravery and resistance that would last for generations. The inspirational true story of Dadu Barot and his group of 51 peasants, who valiantly resisted the overwhelming power of the Khilji army in order to preserve the temples and preserve the honor of Sanatan Sanskriti, is the central feature of Kasoombo. Pen Studios’ Jayantilal Gada stated his enthusiasm for sharing this classic story with a larger audience. The director, Vijaygiri Bava also stated, “We are thrilled to present ‘Kasoombo’ to audiences across India. This film is not merely entertainment; it is a tribute to the valor and sacrifice of our ancestors, whose stories continue to inspire us today. With ‘Kasoombo,’ our aim was to honor the legacy of Gujarat’s brave Sanatani warriors and their historic stand against oppression. I am grateful to Pen Studios for their unwavering support in bringing this vision to life.”
The film, which debuted in Gujarati theaters on February 16, has Raunaq Kamdar, Dharmendra Gohil, Darshan Pandya, Chetan Dhanani, Shraddha Dangar, Monal Gajjar, and Firoz Irani in key parts. On May 3, 2024, the movie will be rereleased in Hindi.
