Manoj Bajpayee Analyzes Success of Films Amid Society’s ‘Hopelessness Stage’

In a recent interview, acclaimed actor Manoj Bajpayee shared his insights on the success of films like “12th Fail,” “Pushpa,” and “KGF,” attributing their popularity to the prevailing sense of hopelessness in society. Bajpayee believes that people in India are feeling sad and are searching for heroes who emerge victorious.

According to Bajpayee, films like “12th Fail” resonate with audiences because they offer a glimmer of hope in a society grappling with despair. He suggests that the success of such films reflects the collective longing for heroes who triumph against adversity.

“You get success in commercial films when suddenly the audience finds the hero that they have been looking for, and each era is different,” Manoj stated in an interview with Raj Shamani. Twenty years ago, when Hindustan was still full of aspirations, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan became their heroes.

“Today’s Hindustan is sad because the people somewhere feel that they don’t have what they want so they are searching themselves in Allu Arjun’s Pushpa and Yash’s KGF,” he remarked, explaining why movies like 12th Fail, Pushpa, and KGF gained enormous success. People are looking for their ultimate heroes, which is exactly why 12th Fail was so successful since it gives them hope that they will achieve as well.
