Actress Mrunal Thakur recently made a surprising revelation about her career path, disclosing that she was originally aimed to pursue dentistry. In a candid conversation with Exhibit Magazine, Mrunal Thakur shared insights into her journey and the unexpected turn that led her to the world of acting in Indian cinema.
Thakur revealed that she had enrolled in dental school with the intention of becoming a dentist. Inspired by her love for performing arts, Thakur decided to pursue acting professionally, leading her to abandon her dental aspirations.
When Mrunal was questioned about when she became aware of her possible interest in acting, she disclosed “I discovered that I wanted to be an actor when I was prepping for a medical entrance exam. I still did that and almost got into BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery). I was supposed to be a dentist, and then I was like, no, something’s not right, so I opted for a Bachelor of Mass Media, and that’s when I realized that acting is something I want to explore.”
Last year, Mrunal made her screen debut in the romance film Hi Nanna. Kiara Khanna and Nani were also featured in the Telugu film. Her last Bollywood movie is Pippa (2023), a military drama starring Raja Krishna Menon.
